Overview

One of the largest taxi companies in Kiev, required digital solution for automation of operational processes. We applied our expertise in taxi field and developed three-module system for online taxi management and customers' communications.

Challenge

The client requested a taxi booking app for their fleet of cars equipped with tablets. They requested to simplify the cab reservation process and deliver cohesive customer service with operational efficiency. The solution also needed to provide a consolidated user experience for cab drivers and passengers, enabling them to obtain and streamline the booking process on the go.

Solutions

We analyzed and separated the client’s requirements into phases. To improve tracking and booking experiences, we created taxi booking and dispatch software by combining passenger, driver, and the backend admin parts. To simplify the payment process we integrated a payment gateway to manage multiple currencies.

Results

Before

We solved tech issues at first related to interrupting functioning of GPS tracker; desynchronization of customers and drivers counters; delay and failure of chat messages. Then customer requested to assist with suggesting the working business model for taxi business.

After

After we fixed the tech issues company engaged more independent drivers to the system. The customer satisfaction rate increased at 30%. YellowUA started promotion campaign and became one of the three leading taxi companies in Kyiv along with Uber, Uklon.
