SkyLog is the advanced telecommunication system created to distribute exclusive video content.

Originally, SkyLog was intended to stream sport events and tournaments. But customer expanded verticals to cover festivals, concerts, and other large events with the engagement of media agencies, journalists and bloggers. This video streaming platform records events and separate videos on pieces for further usage by journalists, etc.
The challenge was that the software needed to work with a Windows application as well as a web application. We created the software, as well as a database in MySQL and an API, so the system can access all the data. Customer had an architecture in mind, and we were able to suggest a new architecture and how we’d like to do things to better help them.
We released: real-time streaming on Wowza engine; processing of various video formats; applied indexation of key moments by time code; added generation and export of log sheets for key moments with standard and custom tags (keywords, sports teams, artists, celebrities, etc.); applied real-time synchronization with Desktop and Web components within a single account; created and acquired log sheets and video files.

Customer requested to extend the existed team of developers under his own project management. Teams were requested to solve the next tech issues: processing of different video formats; caching of streamed videos; processing of large data arrays; correct storyboard generation for footage.
We developed custom player on C# from scratch. Implemented manual configuration of the player to comply system requirements; applied advanced calculations. Per now company engaged 6 media partners and got over 100 individual contributors.
